Craig Van Der Stelt 9th At Murray Bridge, Next Up Speedway City

Craig Van Der Stelt and the Zenith Racing team will be back at Speedway City on Saturday night for the opening round of the Speedway City Sprintcar Track Championship. After a solid start to the season at Murray Bridge Speedway’s "The Bill WIGZELL, Battle at the Bridge" Craig and the team are hopeful of another top ten result this weekend.

“We were pleased to finish 9th at Murray Bridge after an issue with a throttle spring in the A Main that made things a little exciting throughout the race,” said Craig. “The problem with the throttle spring meant we lost a couple of spots in the final but we were just glad in the end to get through opening night without any major hiccups and we are looking forward to this weekend.”

The Zenith Racing team now focuses their attention to Saturday night’s opening round of the Speedway City Sprintcar Track Championship. “The 2008/09 Speedway City Sprintcar Track Championship is expected to be one of the most hotly contested Sprintcar Championships in Australia this summer,” said Craig. “With over 30 entries for the opening night it is going to be elbows up from night one and we’re really looking forward to opening the Track Championship on a positive note. It’s great to see so many cars in Adelaide this season and it can only get better from here considering it is so early in the season”

On a sobering note the Zenith Racing team would like to send their sincere condolences to the Darley family after Scott Darley’s tragic accident in Sydney last weekend.
