Craig Van Der Stelt Chasing Two South Australian Championships This Weekend

Craig Van Der Stelt will be in action on Saturday night chasing not one but two South Australian Sprintcar Championships when Speedway City, Adelaide, hosts the 2008 South Australian 410ci and 360ci Sprintcar Championships. This will be the first time that both of the South Australian Sprintcar Championships have been hosted by the same track on the same night and it is sure to be a busy night for the team running two cars.

360ci Sprintcars

Craig will be chasing his fourth South Australian 360ci Sprintcar Championship winning the event for three straight years in 2004 through 2006. Craig didn’t compete in the Championship last year and will be trying his hardest to become the first four time winner on Saturday night against the biggest field of 360ci Sprintcars ever seen at Speedway City. Craig will back in the familiar Jeff Eeles owned Croft Constructions Cool chassis number South Australia 31. Jeff Eeles has been the car owner for all three of Craig’s past Championship successes.

410ci Sprintcars

In the 410ci Sprintcars Craig will be driving the Zenith Custom Creations number 21 Cool chassis after the team has had a busy fortnight preparing the car after an incident at the last meeting at Speedway City. The Zenith Racing team will be looking for a change of luck this week after being taken out by spinning cars in two race meetings already this season at Speedway City. The Zenith Racing team has showed plenty of car speed in recent outings and if they can replicate this on Saturday night will be hoping to figure up near the front come chequered flag time.
