Speedway City Sprintcar Track Championship Next Up For Zenith Racing
29/11/2007 8:49:43 AM - Zenith Racing

After a weeks break Zenith Racing returns to Speedway City, Adelaide on Saturday night for the next round of the Sprintcar Track Championship. After battling through the last outing into the A main at World Series Sprintcars Zenith Racing’s team driver Craig Van Der Stelt is hopeful of a much improved performance this weekend.

“Last meeting we got caught out early with our new car and really messed up in time trials,” said Craig. “At World Series Sprintcars the competition is so tough that if you mess up early you really pay the price for it during the rest of the night. We are looking forward to a better start this weekend and getting some more seat team with the 410ci engine under the hood.”

The Zenith Racing team bounced back in their two heats races at World Series Sprintcars holding off some of Australia’s most talented Sprintcar drivers recording a heat race second and a heat race win. After moving forward in the B main Craig was able to secure a vital transfer into the nights A Main eventually pulling infield before the conclusion of the race recording a 17th place finish.

“Hopefully this weekend we can be fast right from the start of the night and put ourselves in a position to be up the front and challenging for the win in the final,” commented Craig. “It will be the first local 410ci Sprintcar event in South Australia and all the South Australian drivers will be eager to get that first 410ci feature win on their resume.”

The Zenith Racing team is proudly supported by:
Zenith Customs Creations;
Croft Constructions; and
Protec Paints.
